Super Junior’s Leeteuk found himself in a sticky situation after he proclaimed that his ideal woman is actress Lee Min Jung. 

On January 25, Leeteuk posted on his Twitter, “With Lee Min Jung nuna,” along with a picture taken at the “21st Seoul Music Awards.” 

Leeteuk continued, “Lee Min Jung nuna, you were the presenter for the grand prize - I saw you on ‘Healing Camp’ and though your face is beautiful, your mind is also beautiful so you became my ideal woman…” 

Afterwards, many replies mentioning Kang Sora were made from the netizens. Leeteuk and Kang Sora are currently starring in “We Got Married” as a staged couple. Due to these kinds of replies, Leeteuk posted a new message with a slightly bitter and sarcastic tone, which expressed his uncomfortable feelings. 

He said, “That picture of Lee Min Jung nuna was supposed to be funny but is it not? Well, now I am so-and-so’s fan! I guess I can never say it outloud. I am SuJu’s fan… happy? Well, my character gets criticized a lot anyway… it doesn’t matter…” 

Finally, Leeteuk said, “Imagination allows us to develop while delusion hurts yourself and others around you. There are a lot of delusional people out there these days and the Internet isn’t always a good place.” 

This became quite a hot topic amongst netizens and not too long after, Leeteuk deleted all tweets regarding this subject.

leeteuk’s right. delusion hurts people. him and kang sora are not literally dating, unless he states otherwise. to say that a woman is your ideal and to say she is beautiful? you do not have the right to bash. there’s nothing official or written by contract proclaiming leeteuk as sora’s other half. other than that it’s just a show. why are netizens so ridiculous sometimes?

and “my character gets criticized a lot anyway”. believe me. when you say shit about an idol, they know. leeteuk knows when he gets criticized for being sexist, for saying the wrong things. every idol knows. sometimes a person can’t hear the good things but only the bad. leeteuk didn’t even break a law, swear, do anything of the sort. he simply stated how he found lee minjung pretty, and she most definitely is.

i love teukso, more than anything. but they aren’t official, not that we know of. delusion can really hurt a person. don’t let imagination force yourself into anything that may or may not be true. you’ll just get hurt in the end. right teuk, the internet isn’t a good place. people shouldn’t hurt people, it’s a known fact.

idols are still people. fans are still people. netizens are still people. and the rule of morality still applies: people should not hurt people. ever.
